I still play with toys?

During these cold winter days, I’ve been enjoying just standing outside in the warm sun. Soaking in those sun rays. Tto spend more time outside, I’ve been grabbing my camera and taking photos of my various pop vinyls. Yes, that’s right people! I still play with toys. #noshame. I have been having amazing fun having photo shoots with my pop vinyls.

Oh and FYI – collection count is currently at 57 and counting. Woo!

Lately I’ve been building a nice photo series of my pop vinyls. What I try to do is see how best I can represent each pop vinyl with different backgrounds. I haven’t really ventured far for these photos though. I just take them around various the nooks and crannies of my backyard and front yard.

Oh also I must advise, I am by no means a pro when it comes to taking photos. I usually just point and shot until I get something I like. This can mean that sometimes the settings are really off, like the exposure. But oh well. Nothing like a bit of photo shopping to fix the photos after. Hehe.

Here’s a few of the photos I’ve taken;

Antman

He’s the small superhero and hangs around with ants. Ants are usually associated with the garden. So I thought it was best to represent him standing in front of rocks and get that earthy brown colour going.

Daredevil 

The Daredevil I brought was the one of him with the thumbs up. I like it cause it shows his cheeky side. I thought about just taking a photo of him with a white background. But decided against that. I made Daredevil stand it front of a car, paying homage to the car scene from the movie. Can anyone see what model car I used?

Legolas

When I think of Legolas, I think of green and leaves and basically that was the inspiration for this photo. I went into our greenhouse and put Legolas on a few plant boxes and this is what I managed to get. 

Ironman

I love Ironman, wait I love RDJ. He is the embodiment of Tony Stark. Anyway, I have several Ironman pop vinyls and this one was the one from Ironman 3. It’s different to the others because it shows him blasting off into the sky. So for this one, I decided to try and take photos where it looks like he’s ready to take off into action.

Sailormoon and Luna

I grew up watching Sailormoon. It will always hold a special place in my heart. So for this pop vinyl I just wanted to take a photo of her I a bit of nature. So I tried out with green trees and then another with white flowers.

Dancing Groot

This one was easy. Groot is a tree, so I just went around the garden and taking photos of him near potted plants. Also how cute is baby Groot! So kawaii!!

Harry Potter

The boy wizard. If I had a Hogwarts model, I probably would have placed him in front of the castle. Unfortunately I had nothing like that. Then I thought, why not put him in front of his books. The very stories that made him a household name.
