2017 concert series part 1

I've been meaning to start a "Who I saw" monthly post. I mean I start, I get half way. I go to sleep, wake up and then forget and become lazy and kinda never finish the post. Procrastination always wins.

So here's a post to try and redeem myself a little.

Date: January 27th 2017
Who: Panic at the Disco
Tour: Death of a Bachelor
Where: Hordern Pavilion.

OMG!

That's basically all that needs to be said. Really, honestly, truly. Like, WOW!
There are no words to describe how amazing Brandon Urie is live. I can't find the right words to justify how awesome the show was. Oh, and did I mention that it was SOLD OUT!

The set list was AH-MAZE-ZING!

Bursting on stage with Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time the fun did not stop. Other songs performed included Empeter's New Clothes, Nine in the Afternoon, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (Oops did I just scream that at you 😏), Death of a Bachelor and then LA Devotee. (For the full set list click here).

Of course he came back out for an encore; how could he just leave us there after only 15 songs right? Encores were; I Write Sins Not Tradegies, This is Gospel, Victorious!!!

Date: February 17th 2017
Who: Yellowcard, Farewell Tour
Where: Enmore Theatre

When Yellowcard announced they were doing a farewell tour I couldn't believe it! I remember back in high school when my good friend E introduced me to them. Ocean Avenue. First song I ever heard from them. I remember playing Rock Band to this. Ahhhh, one of the few songs where I could album play the drum parts.

Then came Light and Sounds, then Paper Walls and the list continues to today. Yellowcard. Yes, the final album is a self-titled album. It took them 10 years to get here. 10 years! I can't believe Yellowcard have been around for 10 years. Insane!

I've seen them live three times now. my favourite show is when they toured and played the entire Ocean Avenue album, and now I can say their Farewell tour was just as awesome. The energy, the feels. Oh the feels. They were just amazing. The crowd was insane and when they closed with Ocean Avenue. We all screamed our lungs out!

Thank you for 10 years of awesomeness Yellowcard. You guys will be missed!

Date: March, 10th 2017
Who: Adele
Tour: Adele Love
Where: ANZ Stadium

QUEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you had asked me, last year the one artist who I wanted to see most. The answer was simple. One word. Adele. Queen Adele!

After the release of 25, I really wanted her to tour Australia. But I knew it wouldn't happen anytime soon, she has always mentioned that she's not a fan of flying and let's face it. Australia is just a tad far from the UK.

BUT! Come March 10 2017 and here she is. Performing at ANZ Stadium. Sold out stadium show. First of her two Sydney shows. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

My excitement could not be contained!! And OMG! She was just amazing live. Her voice. Her personality. OMG! I love her! She is hilarious and can I just say, her laugh is so infectious!

So you could probably tell I was excited. Just a tad right? Haha.

And her performance. OMG!! Like seriously, how can she hit those notes! Seeing her live was like, just something else. You listen to her albums, hear her songs on the radio and you're just like, there's no other voice like Adele. Then you hear her live and you're like. THERE IS NO OTHER ADELE!

She opened with Hello, got us grooving with Rumour Has It. Brought out her boys for Skyfall. Had us Chasing Pavements to blowing us away with Set Fire to the Rain. She had the stadium karaoking to Rolling in the Deep and ended with Someone Like You. (The full set list can be found here).

Now I didn't take that many photos because I was just so mesmerised. I was pretty much in a trance 😏 But here are some from my phone.

So there you have it, my first concert series post. For me, this was a small victory, since I've been meaning to write this for a few months now. So yay for me!

Let me know if you enjoyed this and I'll try to continue with more later.
