Local Embassy - Ultimo
Hello good people!
I know I haven't posted anything in a while. Just been a bit busy with the whole adult life stuff, you know. Stuff like work, hanging with family, chilling with friends, bumming around when I can. Riveting stuff!
I know I usually summarise my monthly food adventures into one post, however, when I was looking through my phone at all the food photos, I realised that I actually went to a lot of places which would mean that this post would just go on and on and on and on and on.
So I decided to do what food bloggers do and post about the individual places separately. This way the posts will be short and sweet. Simple reading, It's the way to go right?
First up - I thought I'd blog about that time I went to try those delicious red velvet pancake at Local Mbassy.
One day when I was browsing the blogisphere I saw that fellow blogger aitokirai went to this amazing place that had drool worthy red velvet pancakes. Obviously I had to try them too. But the opportunity never came up until recently, when one of my dear friends, let's call her Hermione (=D) came back from her exchange in Sheffield. Boy, did we have a lot to catch up on! Well, more from her than me. After surviving the horrid trek through rain and wind from Central station, we made it to Local ebassy.
Once seated we immediately ordered our coffees.
I didn't order my usual cappuccino, opting to try one of their specialities - the green tea matcha latte. If you don't like green tea matcha, you could also choose to try hot coconut, red velvet or hot taro.
In terms of food, I decided to order the Glass & Ramkein. This options is split into 2.
The glass: wasabi guacamole, smoke salmon, dill cream cheese.
Ramekin: in-house jam served with scone.
Hermione ordered the Mediterran Brekky - home made falafel, fried eggs, labneh, mint leaves, cucumber, fresh tomato, olives. Served with flat bread.
Out of those 2 dishes I preferred the Mediterranean Brekky. That falafel was simple amazing!!!
And of course, for dessert, we ordered the Red Velvet Pancakes - served with strawberries and cream.
